Healing Solutions & Psychological Assessment

Dr. Hague and Dr. Lawrick met in Tampa during their doctoral program. They quickly realized they shared personal and professional similarities and goals. During the four years they lived in the area together, they were able to appreciate all that Tampa Bay had to offer. Despite knowing they would likely be in different locations for their pre-doctoral internship, they were enthusiastic about eventually reuniting together in Tampa Bay to open their private practice.

Both Dr. Hague and Dr. Lawrick became trained as generalists in clinical psychology in order to effectively apply a variety of treatment modalities with most populations. They then went on to receive more specialized clinical experiences, which combined covers a diverse assortment of areas of expertise. Together they possess a wealth of skills and knowledge.

“The goal of our practice is to assist individuals from all walks of life in achieving healing and growth. We believe each individual is unique in their experience, and we strive to understand their challenges from a place of openness and acceptance. We look forward to working with each of you.”

It is common for people’s lives to become unmanageable after experiencing a major life event. The pressure of trying to handle it all can make it difficult to take time for yourself, and even more difficult, to seek therapy. My hope is that by connecting with me, you will find a therapeutic and nonjudgmental environment conducive to helping you manage your life and grow to be the best possible version of you.

My clinical experience has been invaluable; however, I am humbled when I look back at the individuals that allowed me the opportunity to learn and grow. After receiving my Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from the Florida School of Professional Psychology in Tampa, I commissioned as an active duty Air Force psychologist, where I gained significant knowledge in applying evidence-based treatments, some of which include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. During those five years I felt honored to be part of the service members’ transformations as they worked through various concerns, such as sleep, depression, anxiety, relationship distress, life transitions, grief, and trauma/PTSD.

Prior to my service in the military, my experiences also included psychological assessment and therapy with children, adolescents, and adults in diverse settings, such as the VA, residential substance abuse facility, community mental health center, medical outpatient clinic, and assist-ed living facility. Throughout each of these, as with my military service, I frequently collaborated with medical doctors, psychiatrists, and other therapists to ensure my clients received optimal care.

My vast experience with many populations and therapeutic modalities allows me to tailor treatment to each individual. Everyone is unique and in our therapeutic alliance we create together, I will bring forward your distinct strengths so we can explore and tackle the areas you decide are problematic and need addressing. I would be honored to support you in your time of healing.

Raised in Florida, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s and Specialist degrees in Mental Health Counseling and Education from Florida State University. I went on to earn a second Master’s degree and Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from the Florida School of Professional Psychology in Tampa. My training experience in psychological assessment and therapy included a wide variety of settings and populations served such as private practice, college counseling, inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment, community inpatient and outpatient hospitals, state hospital settings, and secured inpatient forensic facilities.

I am trained in psychological assessment, psychotherapy, and forensic/court-ordered evaluations. I am dedicated to using treatment techniques and approaches that are heavily supported by research, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) in order to efficiently relieve symptoms. While I use empirically supported treatment methods, I understand that each client is unique and integrate numerous approaches throughout the therapy process depending on the needs of the client. I believe that one of the most important therapy tools is the relationship between the therapist and client, and strive to provide a supportive, accepting, and comforting environment for my clients. As a clinician, I am warm, open, honest, and use a down-to-earth, realistic approach. My mission is to help clients find hope and develop the tools to navigate some of life’s toughest times. I believe healing and growth are collaborative processes and would be privileged to take this journey with you.

I instantly fell in love with the Tampa-Bay area when I first moved there to earn my doctoral degree and knew this is where I wanted to practice. I enjoy traveling and spending quality time with my husband, friends, and family. I am an avid FSU college football and Tampa Bay Lightning hockey fan. When I am not at the office, you might find me on the water or at a sports game cheering on my teams.
